Explore the Outdoors at Quarry Bank

Child den building in the woods

As daffodils bloom and baby birds fly the nest, there are wild adventures to be had all over Quarry Bank. As spring bursts into life you can get stuck into 50 things to do before you’re 11 ¾ and look for signs of the season on the spring holiday trail and Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt.

Spot the signs of spring

Explore the changing seasons as spring bursts into life. Follow the multi-sensory spring nature trail to find out all the family adventures you can have in the gardens and woods, from building dens on the estate to discovering different types of leaves. Keep an eye out for emerging butterflies and dragonflies and borrow a tracker pack from the garden kiosks to help you find the birds and bugs.

Join us for ‘Have-a-go: nature explorers’ sessions on the fourth Saturday of every month to try out different spring-themed activities, from pond-dipping to wild art.

Spring holidays: bluebells and butterflies

Can you spot the bluebells bursting into life? Or follow the butterflies flitting through the garden? Take in the colours, smells and buzzing sounds of spring as you pick a nature activity from a random generator, make mini homes for mini beasts and have a go at moving like a caterpillar. Spring holiday activities are from 3 - 13 April 2018 (weekdays only).
