Our Community Garden Gym sessions at Rainham Hall are open for all to attend. Get active whilst contributing to a great cause.
Our Community Gardener will instruct you on some basic stretches at the beginning, and then set you up with a series of garden tasks like pruning, clearing borders, and edging lawns. The exercises will be rotated so that you get a varied work out, and of course we can tailor the tasks to your skill and fitness levels.
Our free-to-enter Community Gardens opened fully to the public in 2015 and has been undergoing a transformation to turn it into a hub for local residents and visitors from further afield, so everything you do in the garden will be helping to create and maintain an important green space located in the heart of Rainham. You can make this contribution while getting a little fitter and hopefully making some new friends.
The next Community Garden Gym session will take place on Friday 2 March 2018, 11am-3pm. Meet in the courtyard at Rainham Hall. No booking is required. Please dress for the outdoors in warm clothes that you don’t mind getting a bit muddy. Footwear should be trainers or comfortable boots.
