Open House London at Rainham Hall

Open House London is a celebration of the capital's architecture, enabling free public access to amazing places like Rainham Hall.

Please note that this event took place in September 2017.

Built in 1729, Rainham Hall is Grade II* listed building and a remarkably fine example of a Queen Anne style merchant's house. Following a major £2.5 million conservation and interpretation project, the Hall opened fully to the public in 2015. The Hall, Stables and surrounding landscaping has undergone a significant transformation, led by Julian Harraps Architects and Bakers of Danbury.

We'll be offering free access to the Ground Floor and First Floor on Saturday 16 September 2017 11am-3.30pm, to celebrate Open House. It's the perfect opportunity to take a glimpse a Rainham Hall's Georgian features including the original central staircase, wall panelling, and Trompe l'oeil wall paintings.
