A night with the stars

Fingers crossed for clear skies on the night of 12 August...

If the weather's fine on Monday 12 August, we're sky-watching with Guildford Astronomical Society at Dapdune Wharf.  The Perseid meteor shower should be at its height and we hope the sky should be dark enough to see shooting stars all evening, as long as those pesky clouds stay away.

If the worst comes to the worst, and the heavens open, Steve from Guildford Astronomical Society gives a wonderfully interesting talk which makes up for not being able to watch what is actually going on in the night sky.

From 8.30pm at Dapdune Wharf in Guildford.

Booking essential - please call 01483 561389 (in office hours), £5.
