Mobiloo make it possible for disabled young people and adults to take part in everyday activities, enjoy new experiences and make memories with family and friends. We're pleased to be able to offer this Changing Places toilet at Saltram on key dates throughout the year.
A Mobiloo is a mobile accessible toilet with adult-sized changing bench, hoist and a friendly attendant.
There are over a quarter of a million people in the UK for whom a standard accessible toilet does not meet their needs. They either need a bit more space or need to be able to use an electronic hoist or changing bench in order to go to the toilet. The choice facing such individuals and their families or carers is to simply stay at home or to risk injury and infection by getting changed on a public toilet floor. Having a Mobiloo at Saltram means people aren’t forced to make this choice.
We're pleased to offer the Mobiloo on the following dates, thanks to generous donations from National Trust Plymouth Centre and National Trust Honiton and Ottery District Association.
- Sunday 23rd June
- Thursday 22nd August
- Sunday 8th September
We're also being visited by the Mobiloo during Enchanted Saltram. Plan your visit for 17th December if this facility will help you spend longer here.
Have you tried the tramper?
We're also lucky enough to have two all-terrain trampers at Saltram in partnership with Countryside Mobility through Living Options Devon. You'll need to be a member of the scheme, but we can sign you up and get you on your way. Just give us a call to find out more.
