From hot and cold meals to traditional cream teas, all food is prepared on site using fresh ingredients and lots of care.
Sit awhile in our tea-room
Set within the original Victorian brick Coach House that once served the mansion, our tea-room offers plenty of choice for all.
Children's lunch boxes and hot meals are available as well as bottle and baby-food warming facilities. There is plenty of seating both indoors and out. Oak Hall is perfect for the winter when it is warmed by the log burner, while our Garden Room lends itself to sunny days with french windows opening up onto our pretty tea-room terrace, or the tables and chairs outside the secondhand bookshop.
The tea-room is open from 10am every day and serves hot meals between 12pm and 2.30pm. Our team are also happy to help with any special dietary requirements - just ask at the counter when you visit.
During our busy times, you will also find drinks and light snacks available from The Pantry (next to the Events Room) and The Shant (in the garden). Offering a smaller selection of sandwiches, crips, cakes, snacks and hot and cold drinks, you're never too far from a bite to eat.
Fancy an ice cream? Then look out for the Jude's ice cream barrow in the garden and the freezer in the tea-room. These locallyimade, natural ice creams are not only great tasting, but also come in some unusual flavours that just have to be tried to be savoured.
You'll find a fresh new range of items in our shops this month, perfect for spring. Whether you're looking to smarten up your crockery, get outdoors and start gardening, or do some spring cleaning, why not pick up a few items or indulge in a tempting treat?
The highlight of the garden this season is the fantastic display of water lilies spread across the lakes in white, yellow and crimson. Venture off the paths and you will discover peaceful glades full of hidden delights and rare species.
