It's Harvest Time

Our farm and gardening teams have lots to do during harvest time. Be sure to look into our gardens and fields to see if you can see them at work.

Our farm is a working farm, so when autumn comes around, thoughts turn to creating enough feed for the winter, and servicing the animals ready for breeding the following year. Through August, we had a tractor and a bailer bailing hay. They hay had been mown and tedded, to dry out the grass so that it can be stored for when it is needed for our animals. This year, we covered our bales in a pink wrap. A percentage of that money went directly to support Breast Cancer UK.

As well as the farm, our gardeners are busy harvesting fruit and vegetables, and growing pumpkins and other seasonal produce. Dependening on their availability, what we grow will be available at our Plant Centre shop for a small donation.
