Let's go and fly a kite

Boy flying a kite at Sheffield Park East Sussex

As the weather becomes cooler and the wind begins to pick up, why not tick off number 7 on your 50 things to do before you’re 11¾ list by flying your kite at Shugborough.

Where can you fly?
You can look out onto the Mansion with the Tower of the Winds behind you and lift off on the Tower of the Winds field.

Or, you can stand next to the magnificent Triumphal Arch and survey the land as you fly your kite on the Triumphal hill. Make sure that our Hereford cattle don’t distract you whilst they are grazing on the field.

Parkland buildings, monuments and follies

An ornate dairy, a Greek temple, and a Chinese house are just some of the parkland features.

Be careful!
Please do not fly your kite by Visitor Reception or the mill pond by Park Farm because of the overhead electrical wires
