Winter at Sissinghurst Castle Garden
Every weekend throughout winter the garden will be open for visitors to see the bare bones of the garden and enjoy a guided tour of south cottage.
Winter weekend garden opening
Every Saturday and Sunday, 2 November - 6 March
Discover the bare beauty of the garden in winter and the structure which provides the frame work for abundant planting later in the year every weekend. Sissinghurst is famous as the epitome of the English Garden; a result of the creative tension between the formal design of Harold Nicolson and the exuberant planting of Vita Sackville-West. Walk at your leisure around parts of the garden not normally open at this time of year to discover the structure and architecture at its best.
Visiting Monday - Friday, 2 November - 6 March
We're still open everyday of the winter period. Although the majority of the garden will be closed for vital conservation work there are some areas that can be accessed. With both the south cottage and the tower open everyday the garden paths leading to these building will be open and with a great bird's eye view from the top of the tower it's a great vista to see the bare bones of the winter garden. We open 11am-4pm everyday apart from Christmas eve and Christmas day, head into reception to find out what's going on during your next visit.
