Nature and campfire fun at Stoneywell this October half term

Autumn is a great time of year to make friends with a bug and we have plenty of them to find at Stoneywell. Take our brand new trail around the garden and woodland this October half term, where you'll be on the lookout for the creepy crawlies that call Stoneywell home. Also, look out for our campfire fun days, where you can warm up around the campfire and toast a tasty treat.

Creepy Crawly Nature Trail

Running from the 12 to 28 October, our brand new trail involves you  going on a bug hunt. Your first port of call is the stables, to pick up your trail sheet, before heading off around the grounds to find some clues. If you follow them correctly, you will discover lots of creepy crawlies who can be found at Stoneywell (and of course, claim your prize too!).

There will also be plenty of nature inspired crafts to make in the stables, including making a bug viewer jar to take home with you.

The trail is £2 per child, that you can pick up and pay for on the day when you check in at the stables.

Campfire Cooking

Cook on a campfire and toast a marshmallow or two. Our campfire event will be running on Wednesday 16Friday 18 and Sunday 20 October. You will be able to join in the fun anytime between12pm-3pm.
