Volunteering at Stourhead

A group of volunteers enjoying a cup of tea

There are so many reasons to volunteer and everyone has their own. Whether you want to learn something new, improve your CV, make new friends or just give something back. We have a great variety of opportunities on offer in the garden, the house and in visitor reception.

We are holding volunteer recruitment days on 26 and 27 January starting at 10.30am in the Memorial Hall. You will hear about volunteering at Stourhead during a short presentation, followed by a chance to speak to those that volunteer at Stourhead and find out about the range of roles available. Do come along and discover all that Stourhead has to offer.

What to expect:
All volunteers are welcomed with an induction to Stourhead and to the team they will be volunteering with. We’ll make sure you are given all the information that you need to feel supported in your role.

Volunteering can be rewarding and great fun. Each year we offer a wide range of social events for our team, to relax and get to know each other, from our Christmas and summer parties to quizzes and outings. We also offer a programme of talks throughout the year so there’s always an opportunity to learn something new.

" I really enjoy interacting with our visitors in the hope of making their trip to Stourhead a memorable one."
