Stourhead's restaurant prides itself on offering seasonal treats for all to enjoy. The kitchen is a creative place and our team will use locally sourced ingredients wherever possible.

The restaurant is open everyday serving hot drinks and freshly baked cakes, bakes and scones throughout the day. If you're visiting before 11am, then why not treat yourself to a freshly made bacon sandwich, perfect for a chilly morning.

A wide range of lunchtime food is on offer, from lighter bites such as pasties, sausage rolls, soup, and sandwiches, and filled jacket potatoes, Through to main meals such as beef cobbler, chicken leek and tarragon pot pie and vegetarian dishes including a roasted beetroot, kale and brie flan and a feta and brocoli filo pasty parcel all served until 3pm.

On brighter days the kisok is open selling a selection of takeaways products from the main restaurant, as well as delicious ice-cream from Marshfield Farm.

Sweet treats

As well as our traditional cream teas, we also offer vegan cookies in both a chocolate and coconut flavour as well as a seasonal fruit crumble using produce from the walled garden whenever possible.

New to the menu for the winter season is a delicious tea soaked fruit cake, as well as a classic sponge and a zesty orange and lemon cake. 

Family food

A fed family is a happy family and that makes for a great day out. SIt down and relax in a comfortable environment and we'll provide everything yuo need. On the menu all year round is a healthy children's pick and mix picnic box or hot foof available in children's portions. 

You’ll find the baby station with a microwave, bottle warmer, plastic plates, bowls, cutlery for your family to use.

Food miles

Wherever possible we work with our gardeners to ensure we are using our own, home grown, vegetables from the walled garden. Our food miles really matter to us, so we source all of our produce as locally as possible, we’re really lucky that one of our tenant farmers supplies all of our eggs.
