Tasty treats from the restaurant
Stourhead's restaurant prides itself on offering seasonal treats for all to enjoy. The kitchen is a creative place and our team will use locally sourced ingredients wherever possible.
Catering manager Chris and his team welcome you to the restaurant.
Serving tea, coffee and freshly baked cakes throughout the day, the offer also includes bacon sandwiches served until 11am.
A wide range of lunchtime food is on offer, from lighter bites such as pasties, sausage rolls, soup, and sandwiches, through to main meals such as filled jacket potatoes, chicken and bacon pot pie and vegetarian flans, all served until 3pm.
On brighter days the kisok is open selling a selection of takeaways products from the main restaurant, as well as delicious ice-creams.
To celebrate the genius of Stourhead and inspiration that the family got from their travels on the grand tour we currently have two speciality dishes on offer, an Italian style sausage one pot and a Sicilian style lemon drizzle muffin.
As well as our traditional cream teas, we also offer vegan cookies in both a chocolate and coconut flavour as well as a rhubarb and apple crumble using rhubarb from the walled garden.
Also on the menu is tasty pineapple cake, which links back to the history of the walled garden as pineapples used to be grown at Stourhead in special pineapple pits.
Scone of the month
Limited edition scones are currently available in special flavours, June’s feature scone will be a tasty ploughman’s flavour, followed by a red pepper, onion and cheese in July.
Family friendly food
A fed family is a happy family and that makes for a great day out in the gardens. Sit down and relax in a comfortable environment and we’ll provide everything you need. On the menu all year round is a healthy children’s pick and mix picnic box or hot food available in children's portions.
You’ll find the baby station with a microwave, bottle warmer, plastic plates, bowls, cutlery for your family to use.
Wherever possible we work with our gardeners to ensure we are using our own, home grown, vegetables from the walled garden. Our food miles really matter to us, so we source all of our produce as locally as possible, we’re really lucky that one of our tenant farmers supplies all of our eggs.
We look forward to welcoming you to the restaurant on your next visit.
