Geocaching - Throughout the summer holidays

Do you like a challenge and a breath of fresh air? We have the perfect settings for an outdoor digital treasure hunt. Geocaching at Tyntesfield is a fantastic way to explore more of the estate. Take your smartphone or GPS, an eagle eye and a spirit of adventure.

Have fun with 'Get set, go' cards at a place near you

Get set, go! Cards - Throughout the summer holidays

Come and pick up a 'Get set, go' card at the start of your visit to inspire your summer adventure. These cards have lots of ways you can enjoy summer activities, such as 'Find your way' to explore new paths and discover different natural textures, or 'Feel the beat' to tune in to the sounds and rhythms of nature. Each activity is designed to have fun with what's around you and explore the simple things this summer.

Victorian games - Tuesdays & Thursdays - Throughout the summer holidays - 10:30am-4pm.

Tyntesfield's Victorian residents, the Gibbs, loved spending time in the outdoors. They modelled their gardens to fit with their tastes and reflect their travels across the world. For your budding Victorian explorers, we are running Victorian games and outdoor activities on the croquet lawn outside the house for you to drop in and play. Games include Quoits, hula-hoops, skipping, OXO, Snakes & ladders and Croquet. The games are weather dependent.

Obstacle course - 22 July – 4 August

Our obstacle course is set within the aptly named Paradise and includes a floor rope ladder to run through, cones, limbo, bean bags/ hoops, netting and stanchions, wooden steppingstones, quoits, and crawl space for you to drop in and play. For ages 5-12.

Tyntefest activity days - 4 & 5 August - 11am-2pm

As part of Tyntesfest this year, we will have a range of toddler activities, ranging from Hook-a-duck to frog skittles, a mini obstacle course and much more for you to drop in and enjoy. Activities are aimed at 2-5 year olds. Tyntefest this year will be a reduced offer compared to previous years, with toddler activities that will all take place outside and are aimed at getting the little ones moving.

Tyntesfield woodland games 5-18 August

The woods are a world of new adventures where you can enjoy lots of games for families. There will be game ideas written on A-Frames in the woods for families to drop in and participate in. Make a visit and see what you can get up to if you head down to the woods today.
