This Christmas, Tyntesfield invites visitors to Once Upon a Christmas Time, a festive fairytale experience across the estate and house. From Cinderella in the Rose Garden to the wild swans, Mad Hatter’s tea party, Weston’s fairytale, a towering beanstalk, and even Narnia, enchanting scenes await at every turn — with many more surprises inside the house. Beyond the trail, enjoy a traditional carousel, a chapel street scene, festive concerts, trails, and craft workshops. Created in partnership with SuperCulture and local communities, this magical season promises a full day of wonder. No advance booking is required.

Visitors are invited to go back in time on a journey with Christmas through the ages. The house will be adorned with decorations from different eras, there will be a family trail in the parkland, and a giant wreath and Christmas trees will be dotted around the 270-acre site.

The 12 Days of Christmas will be returning to the garden for 2025, with magical interpretations of this family-favourite carol. Explore the garden and watch it come to life, with fun activities to discover.

The lights will be twinkling at Lacock again for Christmas 2025. The Community Christmas Tree festival returns on 22 November to set the Cloister glittering with twinkly lights and handmade decorations, and whilst the house is closed for the winter deep-clean the Great Hall is re-opened for Christmas decked out in festive finery. Find Mother Christmas storytime in the grotto Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 12 -21 December, with crafts in the Bothy and letter writing in the North Pole Post room every day.

Christmas at Avebury begins on Saturday 29 November and includes decorative displays in Avebury Manor, the chance to meet St. Nicholas, and Christmas markets in the barn.
