'Belonging: Our Search for Home' - a magical new outdoor theatre production - is coming to Kingston Lacy this September as part of Wimborne Town of Culture 2026.
Taking place from 22–27 September, the performance will take audiences on an immersive journey through the landscape of Kingston Lacy, weaving together stories of Wimborne’s past and present.
Enter a world of secrets, stories and songs with Wimborne Community Theatre, and enjoy an evening of captivating entertainment that will draw you in, evoke both laughter and tears, and most importantly make everyone reconsider what ‘home’ means to us all.
Gates open at 6.15pm and audiences are invited to explore an interactive pre-show fair from 6:30pm before the main performance begins at 7pm each evening.
Tickets are strictly limited due to the promenade nature of the performance and are expected to sell out quickly. Advance booking is highly recommended.
A BSL interpreted and audio introduced performance will take place on Wednesday 23 September.

The total performance route is 0.66 miles (1 km) broken into 7 short stages. It follows or stays close to solid and gravel paths. Where there is looser gravel, alternative options on closely mowed grass are available. There are a couple of short slopes so having a companion is recommended. A BSL interpreted and audio introduced performance will take place on Wednesday 23 September.

Belonging is created and produced by Wimborne Community Theatre as part of Wimborne Town of Culture 2026. It is supported using public funding by Arts Council England, Wimborne Minster Town Council, Dorset Council, The Arts Development Company, Talbot Village Trust and sponsors Wimborne BID and Canford School.
