Evie Coombs: Nordic Walking for Beginners

Discover Nordic Walking at Woodchester Park to walk your way into the best year of your life!

  • Booking essential

Shake off the winter blues by getting outdoors and exercising while learning something new.

Fully qualified British Nordic Walking instructor, Evie Coombs, will guide you through a 3 hour course, split into 1 hour sessions over 3 weeks, to learn the technique of Nordic Walking.

Nordic Walking is a method of walking using 2 poles alongside your strides to help hold you in the proper posture and distribute your weight evenly, easing pressure on your joints and back.

At the sessions, Evie will talk you through the proposed benefits of walking with poles and teach you the Nordic Walking technique at a pace that works for you. (Poles provided.)

This is a beginner's course suitable for all fitness levels. The sessions will take place on a flat, grassed area, with the final session including a guided walk along the trails.

Not everyone walks the same so Evie can teach you the technique to suit you and your physical ability. No one will be left behind, you walk at a pace that suits you and the group will work around each other.
