Hardwick is opening its gates to both members and non-members of the National Trust to explore the hall, gardens and parkland for free! Look out for the drop in demonstrations and talks throughout the day on Saturday 13 September:

Hardwick Old Hall Pop-Up Talks
Learn the beauty behind the Old Hall and discover the hidden stories of being Bess's birthplace in the 16th century, and how the hall was dismantled in later years.
Architectural Pop-Up Talks:
Designed by Robert Smythson, this Elizabeth Prodigy House is deemed the finest example in Britain. Discover more about it's interesting architectural features.
From Mill to Mansion! Visit Stainsby Mill, the Hardwick Estate’s Victorian water mill and learn about the innovative technology, this is also open to the public from Friday 12 – Sunday 14 September.
Please note that last entry to the hall is at 2.45pm. Demonstrations will take place between 10am - 3pm.
Hardwick is free to visit on both the 13 and 14 of September, activities listed above take place on the 13 of September only.
