Opera Evening at Dunster Castle

Wild Arts are returning to the garden to bring you an evening of musical hits. Bring your picnics and enjoy a magical summer's evening of opera highlights.

  • Booking essential

Wild Arts return to Dunster Castle with an evening of Operatic and Musical Hits.

Semi-staged by director Guido Martin-Brandis and woven into a new narrative full of dramatic intrigue, jealousy, comedy, idealism, and true love – follow the characters as they travel through 75 minutes of music. From arias and scenes by Handel, Mozart, Rossini, and Britten, to the songs of Richard Rodgers and Stephen Sondheim.

Performed by four fabulous singers and a world-class string quintet.

You are welcome to arrive from 5.30pm to set up your picnic on the lawn and open the bubbly. Bring whatever you need to make yourselves comfortable - picnic rugs, tables, chairs and hampers are all welcome.

"Let me tell you that Wild Arts’ opera evenings are of a breathtakingly high, ROH-level musical standard – a gorgeous quintet of musicians and a most cunning choice of excerpts, mischievously well acted. I’d follow them anywhere." -Libby Purves
