Step back in time and see a Civil War living history camp on Green Court.

Members of the Taunton Garrison will be back at Dunster Castle on Tuesday 12 and Wednesday 13 May.
A living history camp will be set up on Green Court. Learn more about what camp inhabitants ate, how they dressed and the weapons they used, including weapons demonstrations throughout the day.
Please note that there will be musket demonstrations which may include loud noises that may not be suitable for some visitors and dogs.

- Suitability
Children are encouraged to interact with the camp and join in with pike drills.
- Meeting point
Taunton Garrison will be based on Green Court, in front of the castle.
- Accessibility
Green Court is wheelchair and pushchair accessible. Trampers are available to hire for the morning or afternoon. Courtesy bus with wheelchair lift also available to bring visitors up to Green Court. Please note that the musket demonstrations will include loud noises that may not be suitable for some visitors and dogs. A schedule of firing will be available at the camp and visitor reception.
