Talk on otters by Stackpole Ecological Research Network
A fascinating talk by Geoff Liles on otters. Have fun with bat detectors, videos, badger and otter info, posters, and crafts.

Join a new Mammal Society local group on 24 June 2026 at the National Trust Stackpole Centre for our free Community Open Day from 2–5pm. Doors open at 1.30pm.
Find out about bats, badgers and otters at Stackpole. Geoff Liles, will give a talk at 2.15pm about the otters who make Bosherton Lakes their home.
Make it a special day and add a walk at the Stackpole Walled Gardens then visit their café and relax with a coffee, tea or lunch before heading over to the Stackpole Centre for the event. The Café opens at 10am (SA71 5DJ).
Tickets are completely free but booking is essential, please call 01646 623 110 or email sern.event@gmail.com or click the "check availability" button on the right to book on. Numbers are limited to 100 people.

- Meeting point
National Trust Stackpole Centre (SA71 5DQ), doors open at 1.30pm. There is parking onsite but we recommend carsharing as the Stackpole Centre carpark isn't very big.
- What to bring and wear
This is an indoor event but we recommend sturdy shoes if you're planning a walk around the Stackpole Estate.

Guided bat walks at Stackpole Estate
Join us on 29 July and 26 August for guided bat walks at dusk. This is a gentle walk that visits the site of two bat roosts, including the greater horseshoe nursery roost. Bat detectors are provided to share and are used to hear the bats.
