Lynton and Lynmouth
Watersmeet tea-garden, near Lynmouth
Watersmeet House has been serving teas since as far back as 1901. We’re happily continuing this fine tradition, as we know a visit to the westcountry isn’t quite complete without biting into a freshly cooked scone, thickly layered with clotted cream and strawberry jam (or whortleberry jam, an Exmoor speciality). Cream teas at Watersmeet have quite a following, with people coming back time and time again to sit on the riverbank and indulge.
We also stock a great range of gluten free food. Choose from lovely home-made soup and roll, a gluten free cream tea, savoury tart, cakes and brownies. No need to miss out on a treat at Watersmeet.
Hunter’s Inn, Heddon Valley
The menu of this traditional country inn changes seasonally whilst retaining those old favourite pub classics. All dishes are home cooked to order using fresh local ingredients wherever possible. To compliment your meal, why not try one of our home brewed Heddon Valley Ales? They are unique to us and always a hit! The bar also stocks a range of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks for all the family. If you're just looking for a stop off and a spot of lunch, we have a range of light bites, bar snacks and tea and coffee available.
