Wray Castle has it's own jetty, so arrive in style via boat and make the journey part of your family day out.

We think coming by boat is the best way to arrive at Wray's definitely the most relaxing and stylish mode of transport to use.
The gothic boat house and hidden jetty, make the perfect arrival point at Wray Castle. Then it's just a short walk up to the castle entrance.  
Boats run throughout the day from Waterhead Pier (Ambleside) and non-National Trust members receive 10% discount on entry to the castle when they show a boat ticket, valid for that day.
