Wray Castle is a warren of stairs, corridors and rooms, not all of which are open to our visitors. This November, join one of our ‘Hard Hat’ tours and see these hidden places.
Behind closed doors at the castle
On weekends throughout November we’ll be running our special one-off tours of the castle where you'll see parts of the castle that are usually off limits to visitors. During the tour you'll learn more about James and Margaret Dawson Our experienced guides will share stories about the work carried out to repair the complex roof and some of the things we found out along the way.
Mind your head!
We’ll take you through some tight spaces, corridors and low ceilings so we'll provide you with a hard hat and a torch. The tour may not be suitable for everyone as we take on steps, stairs and dark corners of the castle.
