Easter at Antony
The cheeky Cadbury bunny has been hopping through the garden leaving sweet treats for families and there are blooms and colours around every corner.
Cadbury Easter egg hunt
The Cadbury Easter egg hunt is back for 2018 and it’s all things floral. Join the hunt around the garden to track down spring flowers, try your hand at being an artist and crack the code of hidden letters. Once you've made your way to the finish line you can claim a Cadbury reward. The lawn next to the house will be the focus of a giant installation of Flora, the goddess of flowers and spring, you’ll have the chance to add branches to her ever increasing skirt. For the first time, the Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt is extended for the duration of the holidays giving families an extra chance at claiming a chocolate prize. Fun for grown-ups
Antony is a home with a heartbeat and the live-in family, the Carew-Poles, still use the rooms you can see on your visit. The doors open for the season on Good Friday 30 March and Easter is the best time to see the rooms and collections looking at their absolute best after the careful conservation work of the winter months.
The garden is shot with spring colour including camellias, daffodils and tulips adorning the flower beds and vistas. This year is the bicentenary of Humphry Repton, the celebrated landscape designer who shaped the garden at Antony. Repton championed bringing back floral displays into the gardens of fine houses like Antony and this year we are celebrating this. Join a Glorious Garden Tour to find out more.
After taking everything in you might find time for a cream tea in the colonnade courtyard...
