Volunteer Open Day
Each year thousands of volunteers join the National Trust in caring for special places. It’s an amazing way to make new friends, work in beautiful places and help a great cause.
At Antony a hardworking and dedicated group of volunteers maintain and bring to life this gem of a house and garden tucked away in the ‘forgotten corner’ of Cornwall. In 2018 we are looking for more volunteers to join the team. It’s most important that you just bring a smile but if you have previous skills and experience then maybe we can put those to good work too.
Come along to a Volunteer Open Day on Tuesday 6 March, 10am - 4pm to find out more.
Volunteering opportunities can be tailored to suit you. We offer short term roles lasting just a few weeks, longer term commitments and anything in between. Are you great at telling stories and do you enjoy meeting new people? Would you make a keen raffle ticket seller, drumming up support for our conservation cause? Is ‘#’ your best friend and could you be our next social media whiz? Or maybe you prefer gardening in a beautiful setting?
If you want to learn some new skills, improve your CV, find something to do in the summer holidays or make some new friends then this could be the opportunity for you. We are looking for people of all ages and backgrounds, we can even set up some family volunteering if you and your minis want to come and help out one weekend.
" I have learned a lot but also smile a lot! I enjoy meeting up with the other guides and talking to visitors. You give a little but get back much more."
There’s a whole host of advantages that come from volunteering for the National Trust for fifty hours including free entry to National Trust sites and discounts in National Trust retail and catering outlets. You’ll also be part of a wider community of National Trust volunteers. Help us keep Antony special and give something back.
