Half-term fun at Belton this May

As the days get warmer and evenings become longer, May half-term is the perfect time to head outdoors and get closer to nature. There’s lots to do inside and out: get creative in the Discovery Centre, trek the parkland to explore Belton’s wildlife, or tick some challenges off your #50things list in Lincolnshire’s biggest outdoor adventure playground.

Here are some great ways to explore Belton with the family this half-term:

Half-term fun in the Discovery Centre 

Sat. 26 May - Sun. 3 June, 11am - 4.30pm on weekdays and 12.30pm - 4.30pm at weekends.
Open every day of the school holidays. Come along to discover the Creative Women of Belton House with activities and crafts for all the family to enjoy. Free with grounds admission.

#50things parkland walk

Thurs. 31 May, 11am and 2pm.
Join a ranger to explore Belton's parkland and complete some #50things activities along the way. Free with whole property admission.

Family house tour

Thurs. 31 May, 11am - 12noon.
Discover the untold stories of the Mansion with this interactive tour. It’s been specially designed for families with children aged five years and over in mind. Free with whole property admission. B

Talking pictures: War and Pieces edition

Fri. 1 June, 11am, 11.30am and 12noon.
Discover the stories behind the War and Pieces exhibition at Belton this summer in this interactive, 20 minute workshop. Suitable for visitors aged 6 years and older. Free with whole property admission. B

Friday #50things challenge

Fri. 1 June, 11am - 4pm.
Join us to tick #13 off of your '50 things to do before you're 11 3/4' checklist and make a mud pie using mud, stones, sticks and leaves! Join the Play team in the Outdoor Adventure Playground between 11am and 4pm to get involved. Free with grounds admission.

Paint the garden 

Sun. 3 June, 11am - 4pm.
Recreate the beauty of Belton’s gardens in paint, pencil or crayon. All materials supplied. Free with grounds admission, donations welcome.

Can’t wait till half term?

Join us for wild art weekend on Sat 19 - Sun. 20 May, 10.30am - 4.30pm. Be inspired by Belton's woodland and create your own work of art out of natural materials.

Return for kite flying

Sat. 9 – Sun. 10 June, 10am - 4pm.
Create and fly your very own kite, or bring your own and join in the fun. Workshops £2.50 per person. Normal admission charges apply.
