The house will be closed from 5 to 16 January 2026. Weekdays from 19 January to 13 February 2026, the house will be open for guided tours only at 11am, 12noon and 1.30pm; spaces limited on a first come first served basis. At weekends, it will open as usual.

The Stables Café, is fully accessible and is open on busy days and holidays but can be opened for seating. The Courtyard tea-room is accessed via seven stone steps, or there is a lift available on request. Ask a member of staff in the tea-room or Visitor Reception for assistance with the lift.

There are level access paths around the garden and park with a mix of tarmac, gravel, bonded gravel and grassy paths. There is an accessible route around the walled garden, with some grassy paths.

- 7 miles south of Ludlow on west side of A49. Eye Lane entrance (when approaching Berrington from Ludlow) - Heading south along the A49, as you enter the 40mph zone at Ashton, look out for a sharp right turn with a brown sign which will say 'Berrington Hall'. Follow this road for 0.5 miles until you reach the entrance on the left. A49 entrance (when approaching Berrington Hall from Leominster) - Heading north along the A49, look out for a left turn with a sign that says 'Welcome to Berrington Hall'Parking: free, 30 yards to visitor reception

A neoclassical 18th-century mansion designed by Henry Holland, home to the Harley, Rodney and Cawley families.
Gardens
Walled garden and pleasure grounds designed by 'Capability' Brown, including very rare curved walled garden.
Parkland
Berrington's park was 'Capability' Brown's final complete estate and includes a serpentine pool, woodland and grazing cattle and sheep.

Start the new year immersed in the winter landscape with an apple‐pruning workshop led by our experienced head gardener, who brings years of expertise in fruit tree care. Join us in the Georgian walled garden for a hands on session designed for all skill levels, whether you’re a complete beginner or looking to refine your technique. Ticket price (£15) includes a hot drink and bake/cake from the tearoom.
February half term trail
Explore Berrington’s gardens with an outdoor trail as it slowly wakes up for spring. Chase the first pops of colour in our Georgian gardens and uncover nature in this cheerful trail. Trail cost £3, includes a prize. Normal admission applies.

About Berrington Hall
Standing proud and strong, this fine Georgian mansion sits within 'Capability' Brown’s final garden and landscape. In the house, discover jewel-like interiors, designed by Henry Holland and home to the Harley, Rodney and Cawley families.
There are plenty of walks through the parkland through woodlands, wildflower meadows and around Berrington's pool, which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest.
The gardens are a treat for all the senses throughout the year, with bluebells and blossom in Spring, roses in summer and apples in autumn.
We have several projects underway and you may experience some changes to your visit. These will help keep Berrington safe for everyone, for ever.
