Going Digital landscape photography workshops

Brimham Rocks is an ideal venue for landscape workshops with many inspirational photographic opportunities. Pandora Maud, from Going Digital, will once again be running a workshop in 2020 at Brimham where you can enhance your landscape photography skills. In each workshop you will learn all about composition, exposure and using polarising and graduated filters to create more dramatic landscape photography. Filters are provided for you to use on the day. A tripod is available to borrow if required but please let the organiser know when making your booking.

The workshop will take place on Sunday 27 September from 10am until 4pm. The previously planned workshop on Saturday 16 May has now unfortunately been cancelled.

The workshop will cover:

  • How to photograph landscapes, landmarks and buildings
  • How light affects your shots and how to take correctly exposed shots
  • How to use graduated and polarising filters for better skies
  • How the right composition can transform your photographs
  • Useful information for landscape photographers at home and abroad

The workshop will begin in the classroom at Brimham visitor centre with a briefing to make sure that you know how to set up your camera, before venturing out. Pandora will take you to the best vantage points to capture stunning images, and will be on hand to answer your questions and discuss your images with you throughout the day.  At the end of the day you'll return to the classroom to review and discuss your images as a group.

Ticket booking isn't currently available so we'd recommend checking back in the near future.

Joe Cornish landscape photography workshops

Local Yorkshire photographer Joe Cornish will be running landscape photography workshops in 2020 at Brimham. Each workshop has very limited places with the first taking place in March and the second in July. The previously planned workshop on Sunday 28 June has unfortunately been cancelled. Ticket booking isn't currently available so we'd recommend checking back in the near future. Joe will also have an exhibition, 'Drawn to Rock' on display in the Visitor Centre in the coming months.
