Brockhampton Estate is the perfect place to explore the outdoors, get in touch with nature and run off that energy.
Natural play trail
Our natural play areas down at Lower Brockhampton offer lots to do for all ages, set within beautiful mature meadows and woodland. Just metres from the manor house our younger visitors can explore the orchard and wildflower meadow with natural willow tunnels and bird hide.
Older and more adventurous young explorers can balance and climb their way around the whole natural play trail winding through the woodland with activities on the way such as the rope on a slope, climbing logs, den building area and giant wooden xylophone.
The woodland is abundant with wildlife and insects which budding young naturalists can observe and follow. For those looking for more adventures we have regular group activities such as bush craft days and family trails. See what's on over the holidays.
During the school holidays families who like exploring can hire a pond dipping kit from the visitor reception and venture down to the Grove Pool. The pool is about a half an hour walk on the blue walk through the woods. See what lurks beneath the water and use the chart to identify what is caught.
Pond dipping kits can also be hired by school and activity groups. Please phone or email for details.
