BBC Radio 3 June Concert Recitals - Ticket Information
Join us for a special series of recitals for BBC Radio 3’s Lunchtime Concert, featuring classical musicians with local connections, and showcasing talent from the BBC New Generation Artists Scheme.
BBC Radio 3 will be recording these concerts over three days in the intimate and beautiful Entrance Hall of Castle Coole in County Fermanagh - which last year played host to BBC Proms in the Park.
Our late June weekend of music-making will begin on Friday 22 June with performances by two guitarists - Thibaut Garcia (a BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist) and Antoine Mornière. They will be performing pieces by JS Bach, Cesar Franck, Tedesco and Rameau. Saturday evening’s concert at Castle Coole will feature Carrickfergus-born mezzo-soprano Carolyn Dobbin and accompanist Iain Burnside in a recital of songs featuring music by local composers Ulster composers, including Enniskillen-born Joan Trimble. And we’ll conclude our Fermanagh recordings with a Sunday afternoon concert with the Piatti Quartet and an inspiring programme of works for string quartet, including pieces by Beethoven and Mendelssohn.
Come visit the wonderful backdrop of Castle Coole, which is fast becoming a renowned setting for classical musical performances!
Tickets will be allocated on a first come, first served, basis.
Admission to these recordings is on a first-come, first-served basis. Please note that as not everyone who asks for tickets uses them, to make sure we have a full house, BBC send out more tickets than there are places. We do our best to get the numbers right, but unfortunately we occasionally have to disappoint people so please arrive early.
