Get away from the crowds and hustle and bustle of town to experience Christmas at Castle Drogo.

Late night shopping and supper

The Visitor Centre will be open until 7.30pm on Thursday 29 November for late night shopping. The cafe will be serving warming meals such as chilli, soup and curry until 7pm and Tedburn Choir will be visiting to sing festive songs. The shop will also be offering a 10% discount on all items just for this event.

Christmas market

On the weekend of the 8 and 9 December, 10am-4pm the Castle Drogo Visitor Centre will be holding its annual fair. There will be over 20 stall holders selling local products including jewellery, food, wreaths, photographs and hand knitted gifts. Here are a selection of the exhibitors;

Chocolate pizza company (chocolate gifts)

Pinnacle Icing (biscuits and cakes)

John Howells (photography)

Fi McKnight (jewellery)

Jo Butt (wood turning)

Annukka Costello (cushions and home furnishings)

Along with many more exhibitors.

There will also be music playing from Barbershop, Mean'der and a local brass band.

Father Christmas comes to Castle Drogo

There is a treat in store for children on the weekends of the 15, 16, 22 and 23 of December as they can follow the trail around the garden and grounds to find Father Christmas in his grotto and receive a special present.(£3.50).

The lead up to Christmas is the perfect time to spoil yourself, so why not take advantage of the home made cakes in our café or enjoy something more hearty from our delicious festive food menu?

Walking

There are miles of pathways through the Teign Gorge to explore and breath taking views across Dartmoor to take in. Winter is the perfect time to admire the expansive views from the castle down into the gorge.
