Christmas at Castle Drogo

Girl talking to Father Christmas

Get away from the crowds and hustle and bustle of town to experience Christmas at Castle Drogo.

Christmas at Castle Drogo in 2019

After 7 years of building work Christmas will be returning to Castle Drogo. From Saturday 30 November until Monday 23 December the castle will be decorated for Christmas, inspired by what the Drewes would have experienced, when they first spent Christmas at the castle in 1926. The route will be the Entrance Hall, Library, Drawing Room, Dining Room and Service Corridor and each area will be decorated with a Christmas tree and garlands. (Father Christmas is visiting on the 14, 15, 20, 21 and 22 December and on these days access to the Library, unless you are visiting Father Christmas, is not possible).

Sunday 8 December-Teburn Choir will be singing from 1-3pm in the Drawing Room.

Wednesday 18 December-Chagford choir will be sining from 2-3.30pm.

Monday 23 December-Devon Close Harmony Quartet are playing at 12.30, 1.15 and 2pm.

All of these groups will be taking an interval in the time they are playing and there are many more musicians playing on other days.
