Let Charlecote inspire you

Parkland at Charlecote Park on a sunny frosty day in winter

Whatever your ideas for the year ahead, make us part of your plans. Everyone can find a little inspiration here.

A winter walk gives you space and time to think and plan ahead.  Spend precious time with the family away from distractions – unless it’s to stop and watch a heron or you spot the deer grazing nearby.

Perhaps "make more time for each other" is one of your resolutions

New start, old stories

If you’ve resolved to begin something new, just for you, how about volunteering with us? Charlecote’s friendly reputation is well-known and there are opportunities indoors and outside for all interests.

We're looking for new volunteers for our outbuildings project, bringing the laundry, brewhouse and tackroom to life with the sights and smells of life in Victorian times, and stories of the Lucy family servants.

Discover the stories of Charlecote's servants - or volunteer with us and tell the stories yourself

When the house is closed on Wednesdays you can join our new outbuildings tours to discover more about the history of Charlecote and the lives of the Lucy family and their servants. The laundry, brewhouse, tackroom and carriage collection all have stories to tell.

Planning your holiday?

Did you know you can stay at Charlecote in The Turret, overlooking the croquet lawn. It’s a lovely romantic getaway, or a comfortable 3-bedroom family holiday base, ideal for exploring Shakespeare’s Warwickshire. The best part, of course, is that you have Charlecote to yourself when all the visitors have left. Sunrise over the parkland is a magical sight.

If you join the National Trust at Charlecote, we benefit directly from your membership and wherever your holiday plans take you this year, you’ll discover coast and countryside and intriguing stories at nearby National Trust places.

First dates and engagements

We know Charlecote is the romantic destination of many a first date and for engagements too. While we don’t have the resources to host weddings here, there are many stunning locations around the grounds for engagement and wedding photography.  Contact Rosie Thompson for more information.

Make your day

Take home ideas for your own space from the new planting in the gardens, choose a special gift in our shop, or take a few minutes over a slice of home-made cake in the tea room, and you’ll find Charlecote could be just the inspiration you need as we say goodbye to winter.
