Sweet or savoury - eating at Charlecote
Every tea, coffee or slice of cake you enjoy in the tea-room helps us fund the conservation of all the things you love in the house and around the parkland and gardens.
The tea room is open every day from 10.30 am and we have free wi-fi in here.
- Breakfast baguettes (bacon or sausage) available from 10.30am to midday.
- Hot meals from midday until 2.30pm.
- Soup, cakes and hot drinks available all day.
On Wednesdays (our quietest day, even in school holidays), we offer a limited hot lunch menu of soup and a one-pot main course. There are still sausage rolls, sandwiches, scones and cakes of course.
School holidays and sunny weekends
Busy days lead to queues in our little tea room – why not bring a picnic instead to enjoy at the picnic benches by the river in the parkland all year round and make the most of our beautiful scenery.
We know this is an issue, but finances and aesthetics mean that it's not something we can fix quickly.
On busy days we’ll open the little outlet in the tea garden (outdoor seating) too, and there are crisps, ice-creams and chocolate in the Pantry shop.
At weekends you can pick up a take-away Cream Tea in the tea garden to enjoy out in the parkland or to take home for later.
A mug of hot chocolate, a slice of Victoria sponge, a lovely cup of tea, or a delicious one-pot meal - what will make your day? We always have gluten-free and vegetarian options.
The Orangery offers hot food, snacks and drinks, with seating indoors and covered seating outside too. We use our own award-winning venison, lamb and honey in our recipes and the National Trust scone blogger loves our scones.
You're always welcome to bring your own food for babies.
