Sweet or savoury - eating at Charlecote

Orangery tea room at Charlecote Park main counter

Every tea, coffee or slice of cake you enjoy in the tea-room helps us fund the conservation of all the things you love in the house and around the parkland and gardens.

The tea room is open every day from 10.30 am and we have free wi-fi in here.

  • Breakfast baps (bacon or sausage) available from 10.30am to midday.
  • Hot meals from midday until 2.30pm.
  • Soup, cakes and hot drinks available all day.
Visitors love our light-hearted signage - and healthy eating options

At weekends we open the tea garden, with outdoor seating, for snacks, hot drinks and scooped ice-cream. You'll also find crisps, ice-creams and chocolate in the Pantry shop.

At weekends you can pick up a take-away Cream Tea in the tea garden to enjoy at a bench by the river or to take home for later.

PLEASE NOTE: The tea garden will be closed during the winter unless we are particularly busy. Come and warm up in the Orangery instead!

Primarily - but not exclusively - to cater for our dog-walkers you'll find our new grab-and-go catering outlet in the main car park, offering snacks and hot drinks. Open weekends only over winter.

Pick up a dog-walking loyalty card from Visitor Reception this winter and collect your paw stamps for a free hot drink.

Something special

A mug of hot chocolate, a slice of Victoria sponge, a lovely cup of tea, or a delicious one-pot meal - what will make your day?

The Orangery offers hot food, snacks and drinks, with seating indoors and outside too. We use our own award-winning venison, lamb and honey in our recipes and the National Trust scone blogger loves our scones.

Our scones are year-round favourites

We always have gluten-free and vegetarian options. Please ask for more information if you have dietary requirements.

You're always welcome to bring your own food for babies.

School holidays and sunny weekends

Busy days can lead to queues in our little tea room – why not bring a picnic instead to enjoy at the picnic benches by the river in the parkland all year round. Wrap up warm and make the most of our beautiful scenery.

Discover some of our favourite recipes from Charlecote ingredients and local products that you can buy in our Pantry shop.
