Sweet or savoury - eating at Charlecote
Every tea, coffee or slice of cake you enjoy in the tea-room helps us fund the conservation of all the things you love in the house and around the parkland and gardens.
The tea-room is open every day from 9am and we have free Wi-Fi in here.
- Breakfast baps (bacon or sausage) available from 9am to midday.
- Hot meals from midday until 2.30pm (3pm in school holidays).
- Soup, one pot, cakes and hot drinks available all day.
At weekends and in school holidays we open the tea garden, with outdoor seating, for snacks, hot drinks and scooped Spot Loggins ice-cream.
You'll also find ice-creams and bottled water at the Avenue Plants shop at the start or end of your visit.
PLEASE NOTE: The tea garden will be closed on chilly days unless we are particularly busy. Come and warm up in the Orangery instead!
We've put on a display of a selection of photographs taken by Jana, our talented volunteer photographer, for you to enjoy while you're in the Orangery.
A mug of hot chocolate, a slice of Victoria sponge, a lovely cup of tea, or a delicious one-pot meal - what will make your day?
The Orangery offers hot food, snacks and drinks, with seating indoors and outside too. We use our own award-winning venison, lamb and honey in our recipes and the National Trust scone blogger loves our scones.
We always have gluten-free and vegetarian options. Please ask for more information if you have dietary requirements.
You're always welcome to bring your own food for babies.
School holidays and sunny weekends
Busy days can lead to queues in our little tea-room – why not bring a picnic instead to enjoy at the picnic benches by the river in the parkland all year round. Dab on some sunscreen and make the most of our beautiful scenery.
