Cliveden's Women

Cliveden's Women

Cliveden is celebrating its proud history of inspirational and powerful females with its 2018 programme: ‘Misrepresented?’ The first event in the programme is ‘Cliveden’s Women’, an exhibition placing women from the local community at its heart.

We're inviting people to nominate women they know to feature in ‘Cliveden’s Women’; an outdoor exhibition made up of 20 portraits of women with inspiring real-life stories.

To be featured, the women need to have a connection to Cliveden, however loose. Perhaps they were born at the hospital, perhaps they or their ancestors used to work here. Perhaps they got engaged on the estate or maybe they just enjoy spending their spare time in the gardens.

The women whose stories are chosen will be invited to Cliveden to have their photograph taken by a professional photographer to be used for the exhibition. They’ll also be invited to the ‘Misrepresented?' launch party as Guests of Honour. The event will feature bubbles, nibbles and a chance to learn more about the women behind the portraits.

To nominate an inspirational woman, people can pick up a form in Cliveden’s Information Centre or fill out the form digitally using this link Nominations need to be submitted by Friday 17 November 2017 to be counted. Successful parties will be contacted by Emily. The stories that aren’t featured in the exhibition may still get their story highlighted on social media and/or the website.
