This information was for summer 2019, we’ll update for 2020 nearer the time. Tempt your teenagers outdoors to explore Cliveden's woodlands, maze and river this summer.

Big Tree Climbing

Tackle a treetop adventure and see Cliveden from a birds-eye perspective - if you dare! The Great Big Tree Climbing Company offers a fun and safe way to get close to nature and feel the thrill of achievement. Booking is essential for this event.

Search for the Sancy Diamond

Starting in the woodland car park, this is a group challenge for adults or children over 10 years of age.

Back in 1946 during a lavish dinner party, the Sancy diamond from Nancy Astor’s bejewelled tiara was stolen. The criminals hid the stolen diamond in the woodlands and left instructions for an accomplice to collect it at a later date,.

During their escape they dropped the clue sheet and so never returned to collect their plunder. Decades later, these instructions have been rediscovered and now it’s your turn to crack the codes and find Nancy’s Sancy diamond. The trail starts in the woodland car park. £5 per group.

Boat cruises and boat hire

Follow in the footsteps of literary heroes Ratty and Mole as you 'mess about in boats' on the river Thames at Cliveden. Call 01628 605069 to reserve cruises, or pay on the day at the Information Centre. Please bring along £30 deposit (cash only) for self-hire boats, payable at the boat station on the river.

Solve the maze at Cliveden

Use your body and your brain to solve the giant yew tree maze at Cliveden. Who will get to the middle first?

We look forward to seeing you for a world of adventure this summer at Cliveden.
