Why come here?

  • Learn about our local hero, Lord Armstrong, at his home.
  • Examples of 19th-century technology, including Armstrong's original hydro-electric and hydraulic machinery.
  • For our streams, lakes, views, woodland walks, the Formal Garden, adventure play area, the trim trail and labyrinth.
We welcome groups of all sizes, with limits for some activities. Learning visits must be booked in advance by ringing 01669 620333.
Please note: The grounds have steep footpaths, uneven ground and many steps. Adults and children should wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather.
