Christmas through the ages and an illuminated winter walk

4, 9 – 11, 16 – 21 December, 2 – 7pm

As the light fades the castle will be spectacularly lit and dressed for Christmas, each room reflecting a specific time period from Victorian to the 1950s.

An illuminated winter walk will lead you around the grounds, stopping of at the watermill and tea-room along the way. Don't forget to visit the stables shop for that perfect festive gift.

Normal admission charges apply.

We're now taking bookings for festive lunches. So whether it's the award winning Conisbee turkey or the beef and merlot pie that takes your fancy be sure to book early to avoid disappointment.

Dunster Castle at Dunster by Candlelight

2 & 3 December, 4 - 9pm

See the Castle spectacularly floodlit and the rooms dressed for Christmas. Live music from local performers will fill the Halls and hot chocolate and giant cookies will be available from the Blue Kitchen.

Local craft stalls will be in the stables and the National Trust shop will be open until late, making it easy to find that perfect Christmas present.

National Trust members free. Adults £4, children £2.50, under 5's free

Dunster working watermill at Dunster by Candlelight

2 & 3 December, 4 - 9pm

See this rare double overshot watermill in action, beautifully illuminated outside and lit by candlelight inside. Enjoy a complimentary mince pie whilst watching the Miller and his team in action.

When it's time to warm up visit the Watermill Tearoom which will be serving festive treats throughout the evening.

National Trust members free. Adults £3, children £1.50, under 5's free
