Visiting Emmetts Garden: What to expect

The rock garden in autumn at Emmetts Garden, a National Trust property in Kent

We've reopened our gardens at Emmetts Garden and we're looking forward to welcoming you back.

The garden is open daily from Monday 15 June, between 10am and 5pm, last entry slot between 4 and 4.30pm. We recommend all visits are pre-booked via our website www.nationaltrust.org.uk/emmetts-garden. To help with social distancing we have introduced a one-way system around the garden. Please look out for signs on arrival, as things may be different to the last time you visited us.

The café,shop and toilet facilities are open.

Please book your parking/tickets before you visit. Members can book for free, while non-members will need to pay when booking. Where space is available on weekdays, pre-booking may not always be necessary, however if you do not book we cannot guarantee admission.

When you book your visit, you will need to choose a 30-minute arrival time for the day you wish to visit. Please book one ticket per person, except for children aged 5 and under as they don’t need a ticket.

New booking slots are released on a Friday for visits the following week starting on Monday.

The timeslot that you choose is for your arrival time only. Please ensure that you arrive at the property and enter the garden within your 30-minute time slot. If you are more than 10 minutes late, we may not be able to guarantee your entry.

Members can book a ticket for free, but please bring your membership card with you on the day. Non-members will need to pay online in advance through the booking system. The Essential Companion card continues to be in operation allowing people to bring one or two carers with them, free of charge. Carers are able to attend without a booking - only those being cared for need a booking.

Please read through our Frequently Asked Questions below, if you require further information please email us at emmetts@nationaltrust.org.uk.

We look forward to seeing you again soon.
