This summer there's a theatrical treat to suit everyone at Emmetts Garden. Kids will be whisked away on an adventure to Neverland with Immersion Theatre's catchy production of Peter Pan. The Lord Chamberlain's Men will also be back for another year of Shakespearean fun with a thrilling version of The Tempest. Early booking is recommended as tickets sell fast - make sure you don't get left out.

The Tempest

This summer The Lord Chamberlain's Men present one of Shakespeare's spellbinding masterpieces, The Tempest - a play of soaring poetry, high comedy and tender love. Wildly believed to be the last full play Shakespeare wrote alone, it examines the power of true love, vengeance and forgiveness. A play that has mesmerised and moved audiences for over 400 years is just as relevant and powerful today. Coming to Emmetts on Thursday 16 August; gates open at 6.30pm for picnics and the performance starts at 7.30pm. £15.00 for adults, £8 for children aged 8-16 (event not recommended for under 8s).

Immersion Theatre invite you to soar away to Neverland as they proudly bring their trademark energy to their most magical musical to date, Peter Pan. Filled with catchy music, heaps of audience interaction, a laugh-a-minute script, and the opportunity to meet the characters after the show, this hilarious and exciting musical of the boy who never grew up promises to have every member of the family entertained throughout...You'll be HOOOKED! Thursday 30 August, 4pm-7pm. Tickets cost £12 for adults, £7 for children with family tickets starting at £26.

What to bring

To enjoy our theatre productions in comfort please bring along either a picnic blanket or chairs to sit on. Please bring along your booking confirmation to show to our Welcome Team on arrival.

Our performances will go ahead even if it rains, so you may want to pack waterproof coats.


You are welcome to arrive early to enjoy a picnic before the performance. For The Tempest the gates will open at 6:30pm for picnics and for Peter Pan the gates will open at 3pm. Please note that barbecues are not permitted within Emmetts Garden.

Suitable ages

The Tempest is aimed at an adult audience, though children aged 8-16 years are welcome to join us for the performance. The production is not suitable for children under the age of 8.

Peter Pan is suitable for all ages. Tickets must be purchased for all children aged 3 and over.
