This summer there's a theatrical treat to suit everyone at Emmetts Garden. Bring the whole family along to the brand-new musical adaptation of The Jungle Book, or enjoy a classic production of Shakespeare's Macbeth performed by The Lord Chamberlain's Men. Early booking is recommended as tickets sell fast.

This summer, join The Lord Chamberlain’s Men with their latest performance, the thrilling Macbeth. Coming to Emmetts on Thursday 13 August; gates open at 6.30pm for picnics and the performance starts at 7.30pm. £16.50 for adults, £9.50 for children aged 8-16 (event not recommended for under 8s).

The Jungle Book

On a warm summers afternoon watch this classic story bought to life by the Immersion Theatre Company. Join Mowgli and his friends, Baloo the bear and Bagheera the panther on an adventure through the jungle with this brand-new musical adaptation of the beloved children's tale, The Jungle Book.
Thursday 27 August; open for picnics at 3pm and the performance is 4pm-6pm. Tickets cost £13.50 for adults, £8.50 for children and with family tickets starting at £30.50.

What to bring

To enjoy our theatre productions in comfort please bring along either a picnic blanket or chairs to sit on. Please bring along your booking confirmation to show to our Welcome Team on arrival.

Our performances will go ahead even if it rains, so you may want to pack waterproof coats.


You are welcome to arrive early to enjoy a picnic before the performance. For Macbeth, the gates will open at 6:30pm for picnics and for The Jungle Book the gates will open at 3pm. If you arrive before 3pm to visit the garden you will need to pay for admission.

Please note that barbecues are not permitted within Emmetts Garden.

Suitable ages

Macbeth is aimed at an adult audience, though children aged 8-16 years are welcome to join us for the performance. The production is not suitable for children under the age of 8.

Alice in Wonderland is suitable for all ages. Tickets must be purchased for all children aged 3 and over.
