Visiting Felbrigg: What you need to know

Felbrigg Hall in summer time

We’ve re-opened the parkland and gardens at Felbrigg and are happy to be welcoming our visitors back. To ensure the safety of everyone, we have introduced some changes, which includes needing to pre-book before your visit.

When you arrive

Your new membership card

Have your tickets ready

When you arrive, you will need to have your tickets to hand to show to staff, and your membership cards if you are members. We are asking that visitors roll down their windows on arrival and let us know the names under which you have booked.

Arrive in your time slot

Please make a note of your half hour arrival slot and turn up on time. If you’re more than 10 minutes late for your arrival slot then entry will be at the discretion of the property team. If you arrive early, we may ask you to come back later. Once you arrive, you can stay for as long as you like.

Leaving the estate

If you leave before 3pm, you will exit the usual way. However, after this time the main gate will be closed and we are asking visitors to leave via the Lion’s Mouth exit, which takes you onto the A148. This is a narrower road with low trees so please be aware of this if you are in a large vehicle such as a motorhome.

Staying safe

We've reduced the number of people we can welcome to ensure the safety of our visitors, staff, volunteers and local communities. To help keep everyone safe, please follow social distancing and govenment guidance when you visit. Look out for signs while you're here which will explain any changes to how you can access different parts of the site.

The estate walks are open as normal, but we will be operating a one-way system in the Walled Garden. Please follow this to ensure everybody's safety.

If you're showing any of the symptoms of coronavirus, or if you've been in contact with anyone that has the virus in the last 14 days, please don't visit.

Facilities

We have reopened the parkland and gardens, and our tearoom is offering a reduced offer.  We have also reopened the shop. The house currently remains closed. We have toilet facilities available.

Accessibility

The gardens are fully accessible for wheelchairs and mobility scooters. Some of our wider estate walks are not, please speak to one of the team on arrival for more information. We will have mobility scooters available to borrow from Monday 24 July subject to availability. You will need to book these in advance. Once you have booked your ticket to visit, please call 01263 837444 or email felbrigg@nationaltrust.org.uk to arrange your hire. Please note all vehicles will need to be returned by 3pm.

Dogs

Dogs on leads are welcome here at Felbrigg, and we are currently asking dogs to remain on leads throughout the estate. This helps to ensure social distancing, and protect our wildlife. Dogs are not permitted in the formal gardens and we have shaded tie up points nearby the entrance. Please do not leave them in hot cars - we have water bowls available onsite.

How to book

All visitors must book a ticket in advance, including members. Entry and parking is free for members, but please bring your membership card with you. Non-members will need to pay in advance.

  • Please book one ticket per person, except for children aged 5 or under as they don’t need a ticket.
  • You’ll need to choose a 30-minute arrival time for the day you want to visit.
  • The timeslot is for your arrival time only
  • Tickets are for your use only and are not available for resale
  • We'll send your booking confirmation by email. Please make sure you fill in your correct email address when you book to ensure you receive your confirmation email.

Every Friday we'll release new bookings for visits the following week. You can book up to 18 hours before a timeslot.

Due to limited spaces, we’re asking that you only book once a week to allow others a chance to visit.
