Celebrate your birthday at Gibside

A child toasting marshmallows over an open camp fire at Colby Woodland Garden, Pembrokeshire

Here at Gibside, for birthday parties we use the natural surroundings to make a birthday really special.

During the winter (October to November) we can offer two children’s birthday party themes and throughout the rest of the year from January all four themes are available to choose.

Each one is filled with outdoor fun, perfect for celebrating your special day. Your little wild things will also toast a marshmallow and enjoy a warming hot chocolate.

The birthday feast will be held in Garden Cottage and all party-goers have exclusive use of Strawberry Castle play area, for even more fun and adventure.

You can opt to provide your own catering, alternatively there are National Trust ‘50 things to do before you’re 11 ¾’ children’s lunchboxes.

To make a birthday party booking, please e-mail or ring 01207 541200. Thank you.

Which party theme will you choose?

Fifty things

Bushcraft survival

Let’s head into the woods for an adventure. We’ll build a den using sticks and other materials. The day wouldn’t be complete without learning fire lighting skills using a bow drill and fire steels and marshmallow toasting. (Ages 7+)

Trail tales

Opt for a fairy or animal trail where we’ll follow a trail around the woodland looking for pictures as we go. The fairy option includes creating mini-fairy homes, wands and fairy crowns. On the animal trail we’ll make mini-animal homes and animal masks. (Ages 4—7)

" “...it was AMAZING!!!! Thanks SO much. It totally exceeded our expectations and everyone has been texting saying how it was the best party ever!!!!”"
