Music on the Avenue

Join us for live music the Avenue. It's the perfect way to spend a lazy Sunday. You can bring along folding chairs, the dog (please keep them on a lead) and your favourite picnic treats. While the concerts are free, normal admission charges apply into Gibside.

Cobweb Orchestra: Sunday 26 May, 1-4pm

Come and see the Cobweb Orchestra play at the orangery. Started in 1995, the orchestra is a blend of beginners and experienced musicians, and it's going to be a treat to watch them play in these surroundings. Feel free to bring along folding chairs or a picnic blanket to ensure you're relaxed for this performance.

Vieux Carre Jazzmen: Sunday 23 July, 1-4pm

With a repertoire ranging from Louis Armstrong and Clarence Williams to Jabbo Smith and Clancy Hayes, the whole spectrum of jazz is covered.

Whickham Wind: Sunday 7 July, 1-4pm

Expect clarinets, saxophones, trumpets and trombones. Whickham Wind are a vibrant community band who play a range of popular tunes.
