Father's Day Falconry
Spend the day together at Hanbury Hall this Father’s Day. Pack a picnic, bring the whole family and enjoy an afternoon in the beautiful surroundings of the Great Garden and park.
Worcestershire falconry expert, Trevor Hill will be back this Father's Day with his majestic birds of prey. There will be impressive flying displays on the Orangery Lawn at 12.30pm and 2.30pm, where Trevor will be showing off what his birds can do. In between displays, the birds will be resting in the Grove where you will have the chance to meet the birds, talk to Trevor and learn more about these remarkable creatures.
For art loving dads we’ve got just the thing. Worcestershire Woodturners will be in the Long Gallery with a beautiful collection of handturned works from local artists. Created using traditional methods of woodturning, there will be original pieces available to buy - a nice last minute gift for your dad.
For those with green fingered fathers, a stroll through Hanbury’s beautiful gardens is a must. Take in the stunning display of colour in the Parterre before heading down to the Walled Garden to meet the chickens and bees who call it home.
Take the chance to chat to a member of our fantastic gardening team, find out what’s happening in the gardens throughout the summer months and maybe pick up a handy tip or two.
If the weather is looking nice, grab a picnic blanket from our Servants’ Hall tearoom and head for the peaceful surroundings of Kytes Orchard - a lovely place to enjoy a spot of lunch and a lazy afternoon.
As a nice little reminder of your time in the gardens, why not pop around to our Stableyard Shop and pick up a plant or two, a wonderful addition to any dad’s garden.
If you don’t fancy a picnic why not treat your dad to a delicious, seasonal lunch in our Servants’ Hall tearoom. With lots of tasty treats on offer including fresh soups with crusty bread, seasonal flans and freshly baked cakes and scones.
