Work Experience at Hanbury

Trimming the box topiary in the Parterre

At Hanbury we offer engaging work experience for students contemplating a career in the culture and heritage sector, who are looking to gain confidence and experience in the work place.

We provide week long placements from March through to July for students aged 14-18. Duties are many and varied, aimed at introducing students to every facet of property life including time spent in our visitor welcome and commercial departments, and experience working behind-the-scenes with our conservation, visitor experience and garden teams.

Students will discover how our visitors are welcomed and looked after during their day out, how the gardens have been recreated and kept looking so near, how our collection is cared for and how our busy commercial departments support us.

We welcome applications from students aged 14-18 at the time of the placement. If you are interested in applying, please click here to visit our National Trust volunteering page.
