We have a new series of activities for the summer season, so we can share our love and knowledge of this special place with you.
Activities available include:
Run Forest Run
Join us for guided runs through the forest over a distance and at a pace to suit the capabilities of the group. Follow Hatfield Forest on Facebook for further details of specific events.
You've heard of car sharing. Walk Share is a similar idea, just on foot, not four wheels.
If you are new to the forest or just want some company for a nice walk in great surroundings, then this is for you. Well behaved dogs, kept on a lead, are welcome.
Our first Walk Share is on Thurs 25 May at 10:00.
From pampered pups to woofing walkers, all are welcome on this, our first, "mutt strut".
Join our dog warden for a walk around the forest. Learn about walking dogs in a nature reserve and around livestock.
Make some new four legged friends.
Our first Mutt Strut starts from opposite the cafe, on Sun 28 May at 09:45. Please keep your dogs on lead in the lake area and under close control at all times.
We are working on a series of walks and talks for July and August which will explore various aspects of the history and natural history of the forest - including the Georgian landscape, medieval history, tree identification, and the outer lying area (by bike).
Mindful Practices - stretch, meditate and relax...
We're bringing a series of mindful practices to the outdoors, including Yoga, Flexible Strength and Meditation, to help you re-connect with nature. These are held by the Decoy Lake, on Sats at 10.00, beginning on 13 May and continuing 10 Jun, 24 Jun, 8 Jul, 22 Jul, 5 Aug, 12 Aug, 19 Aug, 26 Aug, and 2 Sep.
