Summer of Sport

Runners on Takeley Hill covered in buttercups

We have a new series of activities for the later spring and summer season, so we can share our love and knowledge of this special place with you.

Activities available include:

Run Forest Run

Join us for guided runs through the forest over a distance and at a pace to suit the capabilities of the group, starting in June.  Follow Hatfield Forest on Facebook for further details of specific events.

Themed Walks

Accompany us for a series of walks and talks which will explore various aspects of the nature, history and natural history of the forest - including the Georgian landscape and medieval history.  Check out the Whats On section of the Hatfield Forest website for details of specific events.

Throughout Thursday’s in May, join our conservation team for weekly livestock walks.

Mindful Practices - stretch, meditate and relax...

We're bringing a series of mindful practices to the outdoors, beginning with Yoga on 30 and 31 May and 1 June near the Decoy Lake, behind the Shell House.

Summer of Sport

During the summer holidays, they’ll be plenty of activities for all around the lake area, including badminton, long bow archery, Georgian games, junior running sessions and multi sports.
