Stonechat is a first floor apartment at the Coastguard Cottages on Dunwich Heath. The apartment benefits from stunning views over the cliffs and beyond to the North Sea. The cosy holiday home offers the perfect getaway for two, with a beautifully restored open plan living, dining and sleeping area.
If you’re a keen birdwatcher you’ll be spoilt for choice with nightjars, woodlarks and warblers, just some of the rare species common in the area. Make the most of Stonechat’s countryside location and explore the heather strewn heath on foot.
Further afield, explore the pretty seaside town of Southwold, just a short drive away from the holiday home. The town boasts numerous independent shops and restaurants as well as the famous Adnam’s Brewery and the lighthouse.

Heating: The cottage is heated by electric radiators which guests are able to regulate.
*WiFi: This is now available, but please note that intermittent connection problems can sometimes occur and should not be relied upon. We are pleased to provide free WiFi at this cottage which is supported by BT.
Parking: Designated parking for one car.
Garden: Shared single garden with picnic tables at the front of the cottages.
Offers: Holiday cottage guests have free entry to all National Trust properties during the period of their stay. Full details in the confirmation email upon booking.
Guests will benefit from a late Sunday checkout of 4pm at this cottage
Please note: Stonechat is part of a conversion of former coastguard cottages, consisting of three holiday apartments, privately let accommodation, a café and a visitor centre. Although the apartment is sound-proofed, it is possible that noise from other occupants may be heard. Stonechat is not a stand alone holiday cottage.
