A fine period apartment based in a grand hall that has played host to some very royal guests…Stay in the Yorkshire hall where Queen Elizabeth II and the Queen Mother once resided. This two-bedroom apartment sits in Fountains Hall and displays fine historic detailing. Discover period features in all its rooms, from the oak doors to the wood panelling, as well as fine views over the Yorkshire countryside.
It’s based in the grounds of World Heritage Site, Fountains Abbey, which you’ll have free access to during your stay. The hall also has a summerhouse and walled garden for you to relax in.
Vyner is an ideal base for anyone looking to explore the spectacular surroundings of Fountains Abbey and its gardens or slightly further-a-field destinations like York, The Dales and North Yorkshire Moors.

Notes for guests
Please note: This apartment is not suitable for babies or children under the age of 14.

Heating: Night storage heating included.
Utilities: The washing machine and tumble dryer are shared with another holiday cottage and are located in the downstairs utility room.
Garden: Guests have access to the Elizabethan Walled Gardens out of hours.
Parking: One car parking space is allocated at the side of Fountains Hall, additional car parking available in National Trust car park.
Telephone: There is no mobile phone signal at this apartment, but there is a payphone provided in the entrance lobby for guest use.
*WiFi: This is now available, but please note that intermittent connection problems can sometimes occur and should not be relied upon. We are pleased to provide free WiFi at this cottage which is supported by BT.
Offers: Holiday cottage guests have free access to Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Estate during opening hours and after hours until dusk once the public have gone home. This is with the exception of Fridays in November, December and January when the estate is closed on Fridays.
Guests will benefit from a late Sunday (only) checkout at 12 noon.
Functions: Fountains Hall does host weddings and small receptions. Guests may be aware of wedding guests going up the main stairs in Fountains Hall as this passes by then end of the bedroom corridor. All weddings finish around 9pm and no music is allowed.
