Winter views at Ilam Park

Start off the year with walks and outdoor family adventures in the Peak District.

Start off the year with family adventures, bracing walks and far reaching views in the Peak District.

Family friendly walks

Ilam Park and Dovedale are ideal places for a short walk with children, dogs and winter picnics. Both areas are grazed by farm animals so you may come across muddy paths during your walk. Don't forget to look out for wildlife, fossils and opportunities to play pooh sticks.

Refuel in our cosy tea-room

An ideal way to warm up and refuel after a winter walk is with a visit to the Manifold Tea-room at Ilam Park. Open daily 10.30am - 4pm during the winter season, you'll find a wide selection of cakes, hot drinks, hot lunches and snacks.

Join us for a walk

Every Monday and Friday morning our team of friendly walk leaders offer free walks in the local area, starting from Ilam Park visitor centre. There is no need to book, just be ready with suitable footwear and warm clothing. Dogs on short leads are always welcome. In extremely bad weather the walks may be cancelled, so do give us a call before setting off to check that they are going ahead (01335 350503).
