Enjoy a tasty treat at the Stables Café

Our historic Stables Café offers a rich variety of homemade cakes and light lunches. Using a range of organic ingredients, freshly picked from our walled kitchen garden and nearby farms, you are always guaranteed the taste of the West Country with every bite.
There's plenty of space to eat inside the renovated stables or out in our beautiful cobbled courtyard. There is no charge to visit the Stables Café.
Why not indulge in a bit of a winter warmer, by treating yourself to one of our carverys or winter feasting dishes?

The Conservatory tea-room

Our popular conservatory tea-room is open for light bites, delicious cakes, ice creams and a range of drinks.
Remember to collect a stamp for your loyalty card every time you buy a hot drink and get your tenth hot drink free.

Satisfy your taste buds with our wide range of locally produced chutneys, jams and honey available at the stables.


Available on selected dates throughout the year, is our infamous Knightshayes Sunday carvery. Made using locally sourced produce, including vegetables from the kitchen garden, our home-made carvery are as fresh as can be. The meat used is sourced from local tenant farmers who graze their animals in the Knightshayes parkland which includes grass-fed ruby red beef and long horn lamb.
There will be carverys every Sunday of December (except Christmas day), January and February.
