Summer holiday adventures
Llanerchaeron is a natural place for kids to have an adventure this summer, whatever the Welsh weather has in store for us! Enjoy craft workshops, bug hunting, meet the farm animals and so much more!
Get involved in farm life and watch a live milking demonstration, become a plant detective, make your own jewellery and give the cook a hand in the kitchen with her baking.
Every trip to a National Trust place helps us to look after the special places in our care, so your adventures will ensure that places can be explored for generations to come.
Here are some great ways to keep the kids and parents entertained this summer...
Edwardian Tea Party - Sunday 23 July
Start the summer holidays the right way with our Edwardian Tea Party! Head to the garden courtyard where Conti's will be selling tea and cakes, or bring your own and set up for a picnic. With activities in the house and traditional games, it's a lovely family afternoon out!
The Servants' Trail - all day, every day
Walk in the footsteps of the Llanerchaeron Servants! Pick up a Servants' Trail wheel from the Visitor Building, explore the estate as a family and try your hand at the type of tasks they woudl have done on a busy working estate like dressing a scarecrow, setting the table and folding the napkins.
Our Favourite Things - every Wednesday 12pm to 3.30pm
We've picked 6 of our favourite things from the Pamela Ward collection, and every Wednesday there'll be a different activity linked to the items in the Villa. From learning the secret langauge of fans to making your own silhouette, there's plenty of fun to be had! You'll also have the chance to vote for your favourite item, and see them all on display during the final week of the holidays!
